AQA delegation participated at the annual World Sustainable Development Summit, New Delhi, India, 11-14 February 2019.
Hon. Matthew J Nolan, AQA Treasurer presented the AirQualityAsia parliamentary model for improving air quality related policy in the pilot countries India, Indonesia and Pakistan.
On 12 February 2019, AQA Board Member Hon. Dr. Shashi Tharoor, and AQA Treasurer Hon. Mathew J Nolan met with The Energy and Resources Institute [TERI] team and the Clean Air Fund to discuss AQA parliamentary policy work and the significant efforts to date in convening two annual Parliamentary Round-Table meetings on air quality in India. AQA and TERI will jointly organise Round-Table III in July 2019.
Dr. Tharoor outlined his and AQAIndia's work with the Ministry for the Environment in having a Clean Air Plan adopted by the Minister. On the 14 February Hon. Matthew J Nolan attended the Shakti Foundation's Clean Air Platform on ‘Aligning Solutions on Air Pollution in India’.
