On March 2, 2023 AirQualityAsia in cooperation with Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry held a Provincial Seminar titled ‘Tackling Lahore’s Air Pollution: Transitioning to a Net-Zero Business Model.’ The seminar brought together business leaders, clean transport and renewable energy experts with city officials to develop the pathway to a Green Economy for Lahore and Punjab.
The meeting was inaugurated by Hon. Mathew J. Nolan, Treasurer, AQA, Mr. Zafar Mehmood, Senior Vice President, Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry; and Mr. Khalid Usman, Convenor, Environment Committee, LCCI. Ms. Shazia Z. Rafi, President, AQA gave opening remarks. The keynote address was given by Mr. Ali Randhawa, Commissioner Lahore. Vote of Thanks was by Hon. Harry Duynhoven, Secretary, AQA.
Expert presentations were by Mr. Rafay Alam, Esq. Senior Advisor, AQA, Mr. Aditya Mahalana, ICCT, Indonesia; Mr. Lloyd Wright, Asian Development Bank, Mr. Zubair Channa, MD, Sindh Mass Transit Authority; Mr. Waqas Ahmad Butt, Chief Executive Officer, Pak Star Automobile, Mr. Mustafa Tapal, Director, ACT Group [Solar], Ms. Zara Salman, Chief Executive Officer, Consortium for Development Policy Research.
