The Inaugural Convening of the Air-quality Committee of Chhattisgarh Legislative Assembly was inaugurated by Hon. Dr. Shashi Tharoor, MP, Chair, the Standing Committee on Information Technology, Board member, AQA.
It reviewed the National Clean Air Plan and its implementation in the state of Chhattisgarh. Hon. T. S. Singh Deo, Health Minister, Chhattisgarh Legislative Assembly gave a special address on the topic “Importance of state-level interventions on air quality and perspectives from the State of Chhattisgarh.”
Senior members of Legislative Assembly for the state of Chhattisgarh were also present including Shri. Jaisingh Agrawal, Hon’ble Minister for Revenue, Shri Mohammad Akbar,Minister of Transport, Housing & Environment, Forest, Law and a number of MLAs, and discussed initial results along with pragmatic measures for strengthening clean air initiatives.
