Mr. MJ Nolan, AQA Board Treasurer and Hon. Mamadou Lamine Thiam, MP, Senegal, attended as AQA Delegates the Official Launch of the Global Urban Air Pollution Observatory (GUAPO), hosted by Hon. Anne Hidalgo, Mayor of Paris, November 16, 2017.
AirQualityAsia is a Stakeholder in the Observatory and was elected to the Executive Council at the launch.
GUAPO is a new city-led global and voluntary partnership, that brings together city and urban area governments, international organizations, civil society, including other leading city networks, and the private sector to support data and knowledge exchange, progress and innovations monitoring, policies evaluation, best practices identification, and development of resources and solutions to empower cities to act on air pollution and its impacts.
