This AirQualityAsia meeting was a preparatory session for the World Bank Annual meetings in Bali, October 2018. The meeting was hosted by AQA Board Member Hon. Satya Widya Yudha, MP, Indonesia and AQA National Group Chair, Hon. Mercy Chriesty Barends, MP, Indonesia with the Green Economy Caucus (GEC) in the Indonesian House of Representatives with the European Climate Foundation (ECF) on July 12, 2018. NGOs in attendance included the Indonesian Center for Environmental Law, Greenpeace Indonesia, the Center for Energy Research Asia, and the International Institute for Sustainable Development. NGOs shared health externalities associated with air pollution and the parliamentarians underscored the need to focus on a roadmap to renewables including the cost of transition to clean energy.
