Parliamentarians have a critical role implementing the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. They can work with constituents, civil society and government officials to raise awareness of Agenda, its 17 goals and their interconnectedness. In addition to approving budgets and passing legislation to ensure effective implementation, Parliamentarians can hold their Executive Branch accountable for national action plan coordination, and participate in Voluntary National Review Processes.

Rafi, presented SW-AQA’s work at the Interactive session on the Sustainable Development Goals with regional and other parliamentary assemblies and organizations at the 138th Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union in Geneva.
